Compress image to target file size outputs 1200×1200 pixels (1:1 aspect ratio). Upload an image, set the output to 1200×1200, and use the max file size field to stay under 200 KB. Quality is adjusted automatically on export.
This size is commonly used for hitting a maximum file size limit while keeping reasonable dimensions. Starting from the recommended dimensions helps avoid unexpected cropping when you upload images to forms, CMS uploads, and email.
Tip: JPEG compression works best for photos; lower the max KB value if the export is still too large. Use the live preview before downloading so you can check framing, sharpness, and file size.
ImageRecrop lowers JPEG quality on export until the file is at or below the max KB value you set.
The size target applies to JPEG export on this preset. Switch format in the output panel if needed.
